The maximum size is 1TB per individual file, with up to 5TB in a collection depending on your selected capacity. To send 1TB online as a single file, choose a paid option with enough capacity. Collections larger than 1TB must contain multiple files within the individual-file limit.

Can I upload multiple large files at once?
Yes. You can drag and drop multiple files and share them together in a collection. This lets you transfer 3TB online as several files, for example, provided your selected collection capacity is sufficient and no individual file exceeds 1TB.

Can I send 4TB online with FileFlap?
Yes. Choose a collection capacity of at least 4TB, upload your files, and share the collection link. Each individual file can be up to 1TB. The same approach lets you send 5TB online with a 5TB collection; 5TB is the collection capacity, not the maximum size of a single file.

Can I upload or download files using CLI tools like wget, curl, or aria2c?
Yes. FileFlap supports headless and CLI workflows for both uploads and downloads. Single-file downloads work with wget, curl, or aria2c — all support resume, and aria2c supports 16 parallel connections for faster large-file downloads. JDownloader multi-thread is also supported. Folder and collection downloads use a provided bash script that downloads files one by one, preserves folder structure, and supports resume — requires curl, jq, and python3. CLI uploads are also available via a bash script on your admin page, with folder support that preserves relative paths.

What happens if I close my browser or lose connection during upload?
If your internet connection is interrupted during upload, you can reconnect and resume the upload as long as you return within a reasonable time and the file remains unchanged (e.g., not moved, renamed, or removed from your device). Otherwise, the upload will be canceled.

Are my large file transfers private?
Files are shared through a unique link, with optional password protection. Treat the sharing link as access to your files: share it only with your intended recipients and add a password when needed. Keep your admin link private, because it provides management access to the transfer.

Can I delete or remove large files after sending them?
Yes. Use the admin link provided for your transfer to delete files or manage available storage-extension options. Keep this link so you can manage your files after sharing them.

How long do uploaded files stay available?
Files are available for 7 days by default, with an option to extend storage to 30 days on paid transfers. Check the selected storage duration and any extension charge before paying. Files are automatically deleted after their storage period expires.
